Greg James Honoured with Australian Fire Service Medal for Distinguished Service
We are incredibly proud to announce that Greg James, a valued member of our team, has been awarded the prestigious Australian Fire Service Medal (AFSM) for distinguished service.
The AFSM is one of the highest recognitions a firefighter can receive in Australia, awarded for outstanding commitment, dedication, and service to the community. Greg’s contribution to the fire service goes far beyond his day-to-day role, exemplifying exceptional leadership and dedication.
Throughout his career, Greg has been an inspiration to colleagues and the community alike, demonstrating outstanding service in fire prevention/protection standards. His work within the SA CFS has included leading critical incidents, mentoring future firefighters and the implementation of innovative changes that have made a significant contribution to the fire service.
Greg’s recognition is a testament to his tireless efforts and reflects the values we hold dear at BART. We are honoured to have such an outstanding individual on our team, and we celebrate his well-deserved achievement.
