The BART system was originally built specifically for volunteers. It was developed in response to the need by local fire brigades to digitise critical information, in order to speed up turnout operations and improve situational awareness.

Although BART has evolved to cater for incident management, agency and corporate operations also, we still maintain the love and appreciation for our volunteers who work continuously to help protect our communities.

Volunteer Discount

As a thank you to those who selflessly sacrifice time with friends and family, often sleep, and their own health and well-being, we offer a discount for volunteer subscriptions.

How do Volunteers use BART?

The BART system can be utilised by both individuals and groups, such as Brigades, Units, and Flotillas.

BART is generally setup with one or more broadcast tags, which ensures the end-user receives only the data that they have permission to view.

Once setup, the BART App presents near real-time data to you on a smartphone or tablet device, within a simple yet meaningful interface.

Please note: For many volunteers, BART should only be used as a backup to your primary paging device or official communication tools.
